Hemisphere x Big River Creative revolutionising agency collaboration

AUCKLAND, Today: Two of Wellington’s most forward-thinking creative agencies, Hemisphere and Big River Creative (BRC), are excited to unveil a game-changing rangapū that reimagines agency partnerships in Aotearoa New Zealand.

This partnership introduces a unique dual leadership model. Te Awanui Reeder (Ngāi Te Rangi, Nga Pōtiki, Ngāti Whakaue, Ngāti Kahungunu) takes on the Pae Ārahi role at Hemisphere while remaining Director of BRC.

“We’re creating a real and fearless Tiriti-dynamic relationship that preserves the mana motuhake of both agencies while amplifying our strengths as a single team,” explains Te Awanui Reeder.

“We’re not just combining resources — we’re reimagining how agencies can work together in Aotearoa,” says Dr Tim Antric, Kaiarataki of Hemisphere.

“This rangapū brings kotahitanga to life by blending our integrated creative, media and consulting expertise with BRC’s exceptional cultural leadership, design and production capabilities. We’re transforming how agencies collaborate to benefit clients and communities.”

“This isn’t just about growth; it’s about creating meaningful change through services that genuinely connect with diverse communities.” – Tim Antric

The partnership expands their offerings with enhanced capabilities in:

  • Culturally focused advertising and design
  • Cultural capacity building
  • Kaupapa Māori approaches
  • Social media content and community management
  • Social and behaviour change marketing

All services are rooted in cultural expertise and genuine engagement with Māori, Pasifika, Asian, and diverse communities across Aotearoa.

Operating from shared offices in Te Whanganui-a-Tara, the partnership seamlessly blends Hemisphere’s strategic expertise with BRC’s award-winning design, including graphic design, videography, and UX. Their approach combines Hemisphere’s “ambidextrous thinking” with BRC’s commitment to “high quality, at speed with aroha.”

For clients, this model offers streamlined access to strategy, creative, digital, media, and cultural engagement—all under one roof.

“This isn’t just about growth; it’s about creating meaningful change through services that genuinely connect with diverse communities,” adds Tim Antric. “Together, we’re setting a new standard for culturally authentic, strategically sound creative work that wins heads and hearts.”
