AUCKLAND, Today: Whittaker’s is going bananas — literally — with the launch of its limited-edition Banana Caramel 250g block, hitting shelves mid-July and wrapped in its signature Creamy Milk chocolate.
It’s the first time the iconic chocolate maker has used banana in a block, and it’s all about mixing that nostalgic flavour with a touch of caramel indulgence.
Whittaker’s Chief Marketing Officer Soraya Cottin says the flavour is a clever balance of comfort and creativity.
“Pairing the banana with caramel makes for sophisticated indulgence with a hint of nostalgia for Chocolate Lovers who reminisce about banana-flavoured treats.
“It’s incredibly more-ish and true to Whittaker’s absolute commitment to innovation and quality, and we can’t wait to hear what Chocolate Lovers think.” – Soraya Cottin

The packaging is just as fun as the flavour — bright, playful and easy to spot on shelves, giving retro vibes with a modern twist. As always, it’s crafted bean-to-bar in Porirua, using fully traceable, Rainforest Alliance Certified™ cocoa beans — and, of course, it’s palm oil-free.
The Banana Caramel block lands in stores nationwide from 14 July 2025 — but only while stocks last.
