The Comms Council has announced an additional speaker for this year’s Media Spotlight.
Philip Smith, founder of Great Southern TV, and one of Aotearoa’s top producers, writers and creators, is joining speakers Zoe Scaman, Eugene Healey and Astrud Burgess to inspire media thinking.
A former journalist, Smith has worked on almost every television format. With first-hand experience of making local content that connects with Kiwi audiences, he’ll be sharing what the key to building connection with Aotearoa’s viewers will be in the future.
A stellar line-up
Zoe Scaman, founder of Bodacious – a strategy studio specialising in guiding brands and entertainment companies through emerging innovations – works with clients like Nike, Netflix, EA Games, Coca-Cola and Snapchat to harness new technologies and cultural trends for meaningful impact.
Eugene Healey is a brand strategy consultant, educator and creator, seeking to make cultural chaos comprehensible for brands. Based in Melbourne, he helps global brands develop strategies to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape.
Completing the line up is Astrud Burgess, chief marketing officer of ANZ Group and the general manager of marketing, data and customer experience for ANZ New Zealand. She’s an experienced leader with extensive expertise in marketing, finance and data.
This year’s event will be held at Q Theatre on the morning of 13 August.
