Kelly Harvey takes the reins at oOh!media as Nick Vile steps down

oOh!media has created a new leadership structure for its operations in Aotearoa, appointing current head of marketing Kelly Harvey to the newly created role of head of NZ.

oOh!media CEO ANZ, Cathy O’Connor says: “As outlined in our Half Year Financial Results in August, as part of the conclusion of the Auckland Transport contract we’re reshaping our New Zealand operations. These changes will align with future opportunities and the next chapter for our New Zealand operation. We will continue to transparently work with our team during this consultation period.”

Vile to step down

As part of this process, oOh!media has confirmed that general manager New Zealand Nick Vile will be stepping down in early 2026 after a 15-year career with Adshel and oOh!media. Vile played a pivotal role in shaping the out of home industry in Aotearoa, leading with integrity, innovation and heart.

From guiding the integration of Adshel into oOh! in 2018 to steering the business through major success, milestones and challenges, Vile’s leadership has been instrumental in maintaining market leadership and building a team culture admired across the industry.

Now, with the business entering a new phase, Vile has made the decision to step aside and embrace a new adventure. oOh!media thanks him for his remarkable contribution and wishes him every success in what comes next.

“It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m proud of everything we’ve built together. After 15 years, it feels like the right time to step aside and make space for new leadership. I’m excited about what’s next and deeply grateful for the people, partnerships and purpose that have defined my time at oOh!” says Vile.

Harvey to lead NZ business

As part of the restructure, Harvey will lead the realigned NZ business with a focus on long-term success and ongoing delivery for advertisers, commercial partners and the public.

Harvey brings over seven years of experience in the out of home sector, including six years leading oOh!’s marketing efforts in New Zealand. Her appointment reflects her deep market knowledge, creativity and collaborative leadership style, and is a testament to Vile’s commitment to talent development and succession planning.

In addition to the leadership changes, oOh!media is currently working through the broader structural changes across the NZ business, with further updates expected over the coming weeks as the consultation process continues.

“I’m honoured to step into this role at such a pivotal time for our NZ business. I’m committed to building on the strong foundation Nick has created and excited to work with Robbie Dery and the AU team, and lead our team into the next chapter and continue delivering for our partners and communities,” says Harvey.
