April Fools’ Day is the reason many have trust issues – but this time, Wendy’s fans weren’t playing.
What started as a one-day April 1 prank has now been memed into existence by dessert die-hards who refused to let it go.
The Baconator Frosty is back – a creamy vanilla Frosty with caramel drizzle, studded with candied bacon chips and maple flavoured syrup.
Bacon makes it better
September has become a full Baconator reunion, with Wendy’s rolling out the OG Baconator, the Chickenator, loaded Baconator Fries and the Cheesenator.

“The Baconator isn’t just a burger, it’s baked into Wendy’s DNA here in New Zealand,” says Wendy’s ANZ chief marketing officer Corina Black.
“Kiwis know it, love it and this year they’ve called the shots – the Cheesenator is back, alongside the Baconator Frosty, the salty-sweet masterpiece they demanded make it to the real-life menu.”
While the Baconator, Chickenator and Baconator Fries are staying put, the Cheesenator and the Baconator Frosty are only available nationwide this September, while stocks last, says Wendy’s.
