Kathmandu has partnered with Motion Sickness to launch its new brand campaign, Outside, your comfort zone.
The campaign invites audiences to rediscover the outdoors – and the freedom, connection and joy that come with spending time outside.
Filmed across New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula with an entirely local line-up, Outside, your comfort zone also reframes the outdoors as a place that feels like home.

The transformative power of nature
The films transport audiences into raw and unpolished moments, showing the small and quiet rituals of real people in nature.
Kathmandu general manager of marketing Jo O’Sullivan says: “For us, the outdoors isn’t just about the strenuous climbs to the summit, or the battle with extreme environments. It’s about the small moments that bring stillness, grounding and revival. Everyone should experience this transformative power of nature.
“Through Outside, your comfort zone, we hope to inspire our communities to reconnect with the outdoors, with gear not just designed to protect you from the elements, but to bring you closer to them, confidently and comfortably.”
Motion Sickness says every decision in the production process was made to enhance this feeling of warmth and emotion. To give the film a distinctive tactile quality, the original digital footage was even scanned onto 35mm film, and bespoke soundscapes were engineered for each scene to transport viewers deeper into the environment.
The campaign is now running across TV, digital channels, out of home and in-store in New Zealand and Australia.
