Kiwi marketers helping power New Zealand’s third-largest export sector have been named as finalists in the 2026 NZ Tech Marketing Awards.
The awards were established in 2023 by Tech Marketers New Zealand as a way to celebrate the depth of talent and capability across the tech industry in Aotearoa.
The finalists represent a range of comapnies including ADInstruments, AoFrio, Gallagher, Lunit, MYOB, Nodero, Salience, Snapper Services and Timely. They also showcase the depth of Kiwi marketing talent driving growth for technology businesses here and around the world.
World-class talent
Technology contributes $ 23.8 billion to New Zealand’s GDP, putting the skills needed to successfully take technology to market firmly in the spotlight. Tech Marketers New Zealand Chairperson Lisa Jansen says world-class marketing talent is increasingly important to that success.
“We’ve seen companies build exceptional products, brands and marketing programmes, which has raised the bar for the whole sector.”
As technology businesses look beyond New Zealand and compete for customers internationally, Jansen says the ability to turn innovation into brands people know and trust is critical.
“Marketing is fundamental to turning innovation into business success. You can have the best product in the world, but if no one knows about it, no one’s going to buy it.”
Exceptional work
This year, judges looked beyond creative campaigns, with the finalists demonstrating their ability to deliver meaningful change and commercial outcomes within their businesses. Jansen says recognising the work of New Zealand’s best tech marketers is also critical to developing the next generation of talent the sector will need to continue growing.
“Sharing examples of campaigns done well and marketers doing exceptional work motivates and inspires other marketers, lifting the capability and performance of the whole sector,” she says.
