TVNZ and One NZ are backing the Marketing South conference, hosted by the NZ Marketing Association on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
Marketing South is the South Island’s premier marketing event. It brings together more than 200 marketers, creatives, strategists and business leaders from across the region for a full day of practical insights, inspiring ideas and genuine connection, says MA.
The conference will be held at Christchurch’s new One New Zealand Stadium, with TVNZ returning as Premier Partner and One NZ joining as venue partner.
The dual partnerships highlight the growing importance of the South Island’s marketing sector and reflect strong confidence in the conference’s continued growth.
NZ Marketing Association CEO John Miles says: “Having TVNZ and One NZ get behind Marketing South says a lot about how far this event has come.
“We’ve got two of New Zealand’s biggest brands backing South Island marketers and, for the first time, we’re taking the conference into one of the country’s elite new venues.”
A place to connect
One New Zealand Stadium officially opened in March and has already become one of Christchurch’s landmark venues. Moving Marketing South there gives the conference room to grow, and a home that matches its ambition, says One NZ.
“We’re stoked to support Marketing South and to welcome everyone into One NZ Stadium,” says Georgia Mahaffie, One NZ general manager of brand and marketing. “At its heart, this stadium is a place for people to come together and connect.”
TVNZ CEO Jodi O’Donnell says: “Great marketing starts with great ideas and great connections. That’s why we’re proud to once again support Marketing South and the talented community behind it.”
Strong speaker line-up
This year’s programme brings together a mix of local and international speakers, led by international keynote Mary Stafford from Bega Group.
Stafford will take attendees inside the story of Vegemite, how one of Australia’s most iconic brands has stayed relevant, distinctive and deeply loved for more than a century.
She’ll be joined by Susannah Winger and Georgia Mahaffie from One NZ, Shaun Rush from Meridian Energy, Dan Terris and Steve Backe-Hansen from ChristchurchNZ, Santosh Pandey from Ridiculous Digital and Jess Bovey, who will share how her team helped make NZ Police one of Aotearoa’s most trusted and talked-about brands through a human-centred social media approach.
Marketing South 2026 runs from 9am to 5pm on November 3. Tickets are now on sale from $ 475 + GST for Marketing Association members and $ 575 + GST for non-members. Early bird pricing ends Thursday, September 10, 2026.
