AUCKLAND, Today: Not surprisingly, the troops at indie creative upstart Stanley St are talking up their big win at the APAC Effies, where the Parnell agency was named the Most Effective Independent in Asia Pacific in 2020.
Stanley St owner Greg Partington said: “The future is bright. The internationally coveted award win cements our place on the world marketing stage and sends a strong message that our offering is world class.
“The APAC Effies celebrate the brightest in marketing, and the top honour bestowed on Stanley St is a testament to the team’s creative thinking, strategy, use of data, market research, and focus on client accountability and satisfaction.”
Before becoming an indie in 2019, Stanley St – and Partington – was part of the Ogilvy global network.

“A huge motivator in making Stanley St New Zealand owned and operated was to harness our profits to invest in capabilities New Zealand marketers need,” Partington said.
“To be awarded this accolade within a year of Stanley St being formed reflects strongly on our commitment, and I am immensely proud of our team and humbled that our outstanding creative and marketing efforts have been recognised and applauded internationally.
“Stanley St muscled out tough competition to prove they are the best of the best, beating agencies from Australia, India, Japan, and China.
Stanley St head of strategy Dan West said: “The APAC region has shown time and again the quality of its effective creativity.
“This year was no different, especially with the campaigns coming from New Zealand.
“This award is a testament to Stanley St’s laser-sharp focus on driving genuine business results for our clients that make a difference to their bottom line.”
