AUCKLAND, Today: China/Germany-based smartphone company Oppo NZ has appointed Rachel Weiss to the newly created role of PR & events manager in New Zealand, joining from Pead PR.
Oppo NZ’s Auckland-based MD Morgan Halim said: “Oppo is a leading global smart device brand and has seen phenomenal growth since entering the local market just over three years ago.”
Originally from the United States, Weiss has been here for nearly three years and joins from Pead Auckland where she worked with a number technology and corporate brands. Prior to arriving in New Zealand, she worked for a Minnesota PR agency focusing on B2B clients.
She has a background in journalism.
“She’ll work with our teams in Australia & Western Europe and a focus will be to help progress Oppo’s brand growth locally.”
