Eight Kiwis in Film & Mobile finals

CANNES, Wednesday: Seven ads from New Zealand have made the shortlist stage of the Cannes Film Lions. Saatchi & Saatchi has three, and one apiece went to DDB, Colenso BBDO, Clemenger BBDO and Special Group.

The Kiwis are: 

  • Saatchi’s Toyota Hilux Unbreakable Bond, with Sweetshop Auckland, Franklin Road, Match Photographers, SixtyFour (x2).
  • Saatchi’s Chorus Fibre. It’s How We Internet, with Sweetshop Auckland, Blockhead, Liquid, Match.
  • DDB’s Lotto LO5T, with Scoundrel Sydney, Blockhead, PHD.
  • Colenso BBDO’s Skinny Friend-vertising, with Good Oil Auckland, Blockhead, Liquid, PHD, Drum, Platform 29, Spark NZ.
  • Clemenger BBDO’s work for NZTA, with Liquid, OMD, Porter Novelli.
  • Special Group NZ’s Meddle in the NZ Election, wit Sweetshop, Poem Group.

And Special Group AUNZ has made the cut in the Mobile Lions for Tourism New Zealand Good Morning World.
