VMLY&R Auckland has announced two new appointments – Tim Yates as Senior Art Director and Laia Pampalona as Studio Designer.
VMLY&R Executive Creative Director Kim Pick says: “Bringing Tim and Laia into the team is a great next step for VMLY&R to help further strengthen our creative department in Auckland, to complement our Wellington team.
“They both bring fantastic skills and experience from their markets.”
With 13 years’ experience, Yates joins from Saatchi & Saatchi in Melbourne where he was working on Toyota and Westpac Group brands, including the Bank of Melbourne.
Prior to that he was at DDB NZ for five years on accounts including Sky TV and McDonalds.
Yates says: “VMLY&R is a brand I have long admired, so it’s great to be joining them in my hometown. I’m looking forward to getting stuck in and working with their fantastic group of clients.”
Pampalona brings more than 10 years’ experience across in-house and design agency roles, with time spent in creative agencies in Spain, the UK and New Zealand.
She has been designing for various clients working on rebrands, product launches and marketing campaigns across all forms of media.
