Match Media Group and Mi9 announce partnership in New Zealand

Mi9 has been appointed as the exclusive sales partner in New Zealand of Match Media Group, the group that powers advertising for brands including Tinder, OkCupid and Match.

Founded 25 years ago, Match Group is a Nasdaq-listed global business that pioneered the concept of online dating and continues to foster innovation in the online dating industry.

With more than 20 offices around the world, the company operates several iconic brands under its portfolio including Match, OkCupid, Tinder, and The League, collectively used by hundreds of millions of people worldwide in the search for love.

M19 specialises in representing the New Zealand digital audience of premium international publishers. Rhys Heron, Managing Director, Mi9 is enthusiastic about the partnership with Match Media Group, saying: “Mi9 is very excited to exclusively represent Match Media Group and its powerhouse brands like Tinder in New Zealand.

“Match Group is synonymous with helping people safely find companionship and friendship and we are pleased to use our on-the-ground expertise to connect them with like-minded brands in this market,” Heron says.

“Their core audience complements our existing partners like Xbox and NRL and brings another relatable and indispensable advertising environment into our portfolio, especially as the new year and Valentine’s Day approach. We look forward to connecting Kiwi brands with Match Group’s influential and engaged users, through unique in-app experiences like Branded Profile Card and Rewarded Video.”
