Off the back of a hugely successful ASB Classic, where Go Media partnered with Tennis Auckland and Tennis NZ to promote the event, Go Media has now extended its partnership longer term with Tennis NZ.
With a crucial Davis Cup World Cup of Tennis event coming up on February 2 and 3 in Auckland it is already working well, with strong early ticket sales.
“Go Media is a huge supporter of so many sports and events in Auckland and across New Zealand, and we’re stoked to have them join the family of partners. The ASB Classic was a knock-out success, and the tennis continues with the upcoming Davis Cup in Auckland.” said Tennis NZ Commercial & Marketing Manager Gareth Archer.
Rohan West, the CEO of Tennis Auckland added, “For the 2024 ASB Classic, we partnered with Go Media to rollout an extensive and coordinated DOOH billboard campaign across the country. The results were impressive, with the proportion of out-of-Auckland ticket purchasers increasing by nearly 3 percent, to 21.6 percent of the total ticketing customer base.”
“Everyone loves the tennis, and it was great to be hosting clients courtside throughout the summer. Growing the out-of-Auckland patronage was a key metric as this helps the local economy,” said Go Media Managing Director Mike Gray
“Go Media’s support of Tennis NZ began with a Davis Cup event last September played in Invercargill and we’re excited to continue the partnership into 2024 and beyond. The exposure offered through Go Media’s extensive network is crucial to driving event interest and ticket sales.” said Archer.
