IAB NZ announces finalists for Digital Advertising Awards

The Interactive Advertising Bureau NZ is thrilled to announce the finalists for the 2024 IAB NZ Digital Advertising Awards.

Now in their eighth year, the Awards celebrate excellence by honouring the best work, and the most outstanding practitioners in the New Zealand digital advertising industry, and an impressive number of entries were received across the 30 categories. 

IAB New Zealand Vice-Chair and MetService General Manager Commercial Craig Delany says, “It’s heartening to see the quality of work and expertise in the market this year. We have been very impressed by the caliber of entries and look forward to finalising this year’s award winners at the upcoming round of Executive Judging”.

This year IAB NZ launched five new award categories to reflect the evolution and growth of the digital advertising industry including Best Use of CTV, Best Podcast Campaign, Media Agency of the Year, Creative Agency of the Year, and Publisher of the Year.

Among the finalists, several received recognition in multiple categories including Together with 16 finalist nominations, followed by Dentsu with 14, and NZME, MBM and PHD Media following closely with 11 finalist nominations each.

IAB New Zealand CEO Angelina Farry says, “Innovation, collaboration and talent are the driving forces behind the New Zealand digital advertising industry, and this shone through in the work that made the finalist list this year. A big thank you to the 125 outstanding judges for the time and effort they put into the judging process.”

After a second round of Executive Judging in the coming weeks, the IAB New Zealand Digital Awards Show will be held on Thursday 21 November Shed 10, Level 1.

Executive Judging Convenor and former IAB New Zealand Chair Stephen Old adds, “The quality of this year’s finalists shows how successfully the local digital advertising industry is adopting new technology and innovating to drive business outcomes. It’s impressive to see the outstanding work that has been created over the last 12 months, and we look forward to celebrating with everyone at the upcoming Awards Show in November”.
