VMO continues to expand its retail network in New Zealand with the addition of two new large format screens.
This month, VMO launched a new screen at Barrington Community Shopping Centre in Spreydon, Christchurch.
The double-sided banner LED screen is suspended in the centre’s main thoroughfare, offering brands a prime opportunity to engage with consumers directly on the path to purchase.
In December, VMO also launched a new four-metre double-sided large-format screen at Highbury Birkenhead, Auckland.
Highbury is anchored by Woolworths and Live Wire Super Park, a large indoor playground.
Commitment to increasing opportunities
Rob Forsyth, Commercial Director of VMO in New Zealand commented on the installation of the new sites, noting it boosts VMO’s large format retail expansion.
“These new sites are another great example of our commitment to giving brands more opportunities to connect with consumers across the retail space.
“It also expands our growing large format network, which is being deployed in key strategic retail locations nationally. After successfully launching our first site at Ormiston Town Centre, we have a more sites in the pipeline set to roll out across the year.”
Further expansion planned
VMO first launched its New Zealand retail media network in August last year, securing the advertising rights to over 20 prominent centres across Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington, and regional locations, including Invercargill, Queenstown, Hastings, and Taupō.
By the end of 2025, the business plans to expand to more than 50 locations, with a mix of both large format and supermarket proximity screens.
