Live-stream advertising currently has a narrow set of applications. While so far, live stream advertising has involved showing ads that people can click to go watch a live video, GoDaddy is partnering with Traction labs to deploy a “programmatic video live-stream ad unit,” thus becoming the first brand to foray into programmatic live streaming.
This will help them to show a live-stream itself within IAB standard ad units. So instead of click on an ad to go watch a live-stream, users will be able to watch the live-stream within the ad unit itself.
