In a world where nearly everyone is always online, there is no offline.

SodaStream and Snoop Dogg collaborate to end 2020 on a high

To welcome the silly season and wrap up the year on a high, SodaStream has unveiled its biggest global campaign to date – featuring none other than hip-hop legend Snoop Dogg.

The leading sparkling water brand’s 2020 Christmas campaign carries key sustainability messages in classic SodaStream light-hearted fashion, leveraging over-the-top superstar Snoop to focus on the “small things” such as baking gingerbread cookies.

Another scene shows Snoop’s family – all bizarrely portraying Snoop’s face, from the children to the dog – sitting at the dinner table and struggling to stay off their devices.

With the premise of encouraging people to enjoy the small but meaningful things, the story blinks at family holidays and replacing big plans by staying home.

SodaStream delivers its environmental message when Snoop is joined by an animated sea turtle who calls on people to make the “small change” to reusable for a big impact on our planet, and emphasises that one reusable SodaStream bottle can save up to thousands of single-use plastic bottles.

SodaStream Global CMO Karin Schifter Maor says: “At SodaStream we always encourage people to make a positive change. This year we really went all in to deliver a campaign everyone can relate to, a campaign on what’s important.

“SodaStream is the ultimate small change to reduce single-use plastic waste, and Snoop Dogg is a great partner to help widely spread this message in a fun way.”

Snoop Dogg adds: “I love my Sodastream so it was natural for me to partner up with them for this campaign. They make a great product and a big difference in the word. I am happy to help spread the love!”

Esteemed director Jake Szymanski directed the video, perfectly in line with the company’s playful tone and style.
