Augen appoints Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Ben Rose has joined Augen Software Group as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.

Rose has been appointed at a time of significant growth for the fully Kiwi-owned outsourcing partner, which now has over 40 employees across two countries.

His role will be to continue the growth strategy, develop the brand proposition in the market and supercharge the company’s sales activities.

Rose has previously worked at advertising agencies in London and Auckland and was Head of Retail Marketing at ASB and GM of Direct Sales and Marketing at nib Health Insurance. He also sat on the executive team of Stuff NZ in the B2B commercial role of GM, Partnerships and Newspapers. Rose brings extensive experience in sales, marketing and strategy. Prior to joining Augen, he founded and ran his own sales and marketing consultancy, The Growery.

Rose says: “The opportunity to help founders Mitchell and Peter grow Augen was irresistible. Augen is a special place with great people, powerful IP and almost three decades of developing software that generates amazing results for clients.

“Our teams across New Zealand and Vietnam have significant growth ambitions and I’m looking forward to joining the leadership team as we take the business to its next stage.”

Peter Vile, Co-Founder and CEO says: “We are delighted to have Ben on board. His skills and expertise are just what we need to drive our business forward and he will be leading some really exciting initiatives across Augen.”

Augen Co-Founder Mitchell Pham, who is handing the sales and marketing leadership over to Rose, is moving into a Brand Ambassador and Executive Director position to focus on more strategic work to support the growth of the business.

Rose commenced his role last week.
