AUCKLAND, Monday: Following a competitive pitch, DB Breweries has appointed disruptive creative agency Motion Sickness to manage all creative for social channels across its suite of international and domestic brands including Heineken, Tiger, Export, Monteith’s, Club Setter, Pure Pirana, Tuatara, Odd Company and Tui.
There were several incumbents. Previously, the social work was spread across all the other creative agencies that DB use – like Darkhorse, Colenso, Saatchi (who are all still employed by DB).
The Motion Sickness appointment brings social under one umbrella.
“We were impressed by the thinking pulled together for the pitch, and love the recent work we have seen coming out of the agency.”
Briefed with bringing DB brands’ vision to life, the boutique Auckland-based agency will focus on delivering impactful and engaging brand communications within social channels.
Founder/CD Sam Stuchbury said: “DB has invited us in for a fresh perspective and some creative disruption within the social media and digital space. We’re going to throw everything at it.”
DB marketing director Jo Mitchell said: “We were impressed by the thinking pulled together for the pitch and love some of the recent work we have seen coming out of the agency that has been cleverly designed to truly engage with target audiences.”
