As Go Media works closely with a range of event promoters, the company has banded together with promoters and artists to push the ‘Vax for Live’ campaign.
Owner of Showcase Entertainment Group and member of The New Zealand Promoters Association, Layton Lillas, says: “The New Zealand Promoters Association are deeply appreciative for the support of Go Media in getting the #Vaxforlive message out on their billboards across Aotearoa, New Zealand.
“Live Entertainment whether it be music, comedy, musical theatre or family entertainment needs a fully vaccinated public so that we can all feel safe sharing the experience of gathering together again.”
Event and festival hopping is integral to the Kiwi summer. However, this may come to a halt if the country isn’t 90% vaccinated by summer.
Lillas adds: “Whether it be 50,000 people Western Springs, a sold-out Regent on Broadway Theatre in Palmerston North, or a little pub in the Coromandel that has live music on a Saturday night, we know 1000s of New Zealanders are missing being in an audience and having an awesome time, so we want a safe and quick return to public gatherings, and for this we need you to be vaccinated.”
Go Media understands the mammoth effort and time committed to pull these events off.
Managing Director Mike Gray says: “To see and hear that some events are considering postponement or cancellation is absolutely devastating – not only for the event hosts and teams, but for the artists, the vendors, local townships and of course, the attendees. So, we were only more than happy to help our promoter partners at this time.”
Currently, Go Media is the only outdoor supplier running the campaign and is doing so across its national network of 55 digital screens.
