Sling & Stone makes new hires and promotions in response to client growth

AUCKLAND, Today: Sling & Stone has made three new appointments and two promotions within its New Zealand team following client growth in the sustainability, home interior, consumer tech and deep tech industries.

Dearra Naidoo joins as account director from Tourism NZ where she worked as domestic PR Manager. Prior to that she held various agency roles in London and Auckland working across brands including Samsung, Singapore Airlines and PlayerMaker.

Also appointed as account manager is Vicki Gan from One Plus One. She’s worked in corporate, B2B and consumer comms across a variety of brands including Amazon Web Services and Comvita.

Erica D’Souza joins as senior account executive from Goode PR. She specialises in the consumer and health sectors, having worked on Diabetes NZ, Zeagold Nutrition and Proper Crips.

Sling & Stone NZ head Sian Church said: “We’re starting 2022 in our strongest position yet after thriving through some of the most unexpected years ever. We’re bolstering our team for continued growth and thrilled to bring on board exceptional new talent.

“Two promotions have also been made – Rhiannon Hughes to account director and Grace Ballinger to senior account executive.

“Since its launch into the market five years ago, Sling & Stone has grown to eight fulltime Slingers on the ground, won multiple awards and represent a portfolio of future defining brands which include Sharesies, Kami, Seachange, Natural Paint Co, Mevo, Riparide, East Imperial and UBCO Bikes.’
