Dom Post, ODT up in latest Nielsen newspaper toplines

AUCKLAND, Today: The Dominion Post, and Otago Daily Times posted modest readership increases in the latest Nielsen national newspaper report (Q4 2022) from the previous measurement period, while the NZ Herald and Waikato Times had small drops.

The NZ Herald fell from 591,000 readers to 576,000, and the Waikato Times was down from 73,000 daily readers to 70,000.

“The Sunday Star-Times rose, while the Herald on Sunday and Sunday News dipped.”

But Wellington’s Dom Post rose from 137,000 to 138,000, while the ODT was up from 94,000 to 95000.

Christchurch’s The Press held steady at 109,000.

The Sunday Star-Times rose from 223,000 to 231,000, while the Herald on Sunday fell from 335,000 to 315,000, and Sunday News dipped from 129,000 to 126,000.
