Mango & Steinlager create travelling Ultra Low Carb Beer Battered Fish & Chippery

AUCKLAND, Monday: This summer Mango Aotearoa and Lion came together to launch the new Steinlager Ultra Low Carb beer – a “perfectly balanced”, easy-drinking lager.

Mango managing partner Brianna Elder said: “To establish Steinlager Ultra Low Carb as New Zealand’s beer of choice this summer, we made it synonymous with a Kiwi summer classic – fish ’n’ chips.

Steinlager brand manager Lauren Dyke said: “The Steinlager Ultra Low Carb Beer Battered Fish ‘n Chippery was built to offer a new take on the Kiwi classic – ultra low carb beer-battered fish and chips, served alongside a cold Steinlager Ultra Low Carb.

“Popping up at dozens of hotspots around the country from December to March, the Steinlager Ultra Low Carb Fish & Chippery trailer and matching Landrover Defender served cones of piping hot fish and chips alongside cans of icy cold beer.

“After launching in Auckland, the Steinlager Ultra Low Carb Fish & Chippery set off on a nationwide tour, making its way right down to Queenstown. Along the way, it popped up iconic events such as Rhythm & Vines and classic holiday spots like Mount Maunganui and Mangawhai.

“The Steinlager Chippery allowed us to launch our newest drop in a unique, creative, and distinctly Kiwi way.

“The campaign involved a launch event featuring Dick Johnson, Daily J and Sin Howard, plus five Summer Sessions in Auckland, Mount Maunganui, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.”

“Despite less-than-ideal summer weather, our Fish & Chippery set the tone for Kiwis on how best to enjoy Steinlager Ultra Low Carb, and it was extremely well-received wherever it went.

“We were genuinely impressed with how Mango stepped up to bring our vision for Steinlager Ultra Low Carb to life.

“The campaign also involved an epic launch event featuring Dick Johnson, Daily J and Sin Howard, plus another five Steinlager Summer Sessions in Auckland, Mount Maunganui, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown.”

Mango’s Brianna Elders aid: “We wanted Kiwis to experience Steinlager Ultra Low Carb in the way it should be enjoyed – ice cold, in the sun, and preferably with something delicious on the side.

“The fish and chip concept encapsulates everything that we love about a typical Kiwi summer, and allowed us to trial Steinlager Ultra Low Carb with thousands of Kiwis in a format they’re familiar with.”
