Pressie Awards introduce new categories for 2023

The Pressie Awards, an event that celebrates the finest PR, experiential, and social media campaigns in New Zealand, has introduced two new categories for this year; Best Creative PR Campaign and Young Practitioner of the Year.

The Best Creative PR Campaign category will recognise exceptional creative ideas that have been executed effectively. This category is open to campaigns of all sizes and budgets, and the judges will be looking for campaigns that demonstrate originality, impact, and effectiveness.

The Young Practitioner of the Year category will recognise and celebrate the very best junior practitioners in the industry. Nominees must be under the age of 30 and have less than five years of total industry experience at the time of the entry deadline. The judges will be looking for individuals who have achieved incredible results in the past 18 months and are making a serious mark on the PR, social, and/or experiential industry.

“We’re excited to introduce these two new categories for the 2023 Pressie Awards,” says Sean Brown, Chair of the PREScom Committee and Managing Director of Mango. “The Best Creative PR Campaign category will recognise the power of creative thinking to connect with audiences and amplify messaging, while the Young Practitioner of the Year category will celebrate the rising stars of our industry who are making a significant impact.”

The Pressie Awards are now in their sixth year and are open to agencies and in-house teams across Aotearoa New Zealand.
