GroupM New Zealand boosts client service with fresh faces and promotions

AUCKLAND, Today: GroupM is buzzing with the arrival of Megan Smith as the new Managing Partner for EssenceMediacom. She’s all set to revamp client services and agency operations, fresh from her role as Chief Client Officer at Hearts & Science.

With a robust 25-year history in client leadership at OMD, Carat, and a stint at TVNZ, Megan’s got the chops to take client relations and performance to new heights.

Zac Stephenson, Managing Director at EssenceMediacom, is pumped about Megan’s arrival: “We are thrilled to welcome Megan to the EssenceMediacom team. Her proven talent and strong leadership qualities make her the perfect fit for EssenceMediacom’s mission to deliver breakthrough thinking to clients. We’re all looking forward to working with her.”

Meanwhile, over at Mindshare, Hannah Joseph (nee Rowley) steps up as Managing Partner after rocking the Client Service Leader role. She’s been instrumental in deploying the Good Growth Proposition and boasts a stellar record of staff retention and client wins.

Hannah Joseph shares her excitement: “I’m thrilled to take on this new role within the business. There are a lot of exciting things on the horizon for the Mindshare team and our clients, and I’m looking forward to continuing to grow the agency and build our culture underpinned by our Good Growth philosophy.”

These shifts come amid a wave of fresh energy and talent at GroupM, including strategy leaders Emily Scovell and Dom Dipple, and Christophe Spencer, who’s expanding his role as chief product officer. The vibe at GroupM is electric!
