Go Media and Canoe Racing NZ have announced a new partnership to increase participation and visibility in the sport of canoe racing.
With a strategic focus on targeted outdoor campaigns, the collaboration sets its sights firmly on amplifying the sport’s presence.
Currently, the spotlight shines on Aimee Fisher and Dame Lisa Carrington, reigning as the world’s top two fastest paddlers in the women’s K1 500m.
Their recent achievement of breaking the current world best time at the Canoe Sprint World Cup in Szeged, Hungary, underscores their unparalleled skill and dedication.
Expressing gratitude for the support received, Fisher remarked, “Thank you, Go Media, for supporting our campaign as we prepare for Paris. It’s going to be a long trip and we are really excited.”
CEO of Canoe Racing NZ, Graham Oberlin-Brown, echoed the sentiment, stating, “Partnering with Go Media marks a significant milestone in our efforts to bolster the sport, both at the grassroots level and among our elite athletes striving for excellence on the global stage. Their commitment to community and sporting organisations in New Zealand aligns seamlessly with our vision, and we’re proud to welcome them on board.”
Mike Gray, Managing Director of Go Media added, “Attending a recent fundraiser for the women’s team was truly inspiring. Hearing the remarkable story of teamwork and camaraderie from the K4 team comprising Dame Lisa Carrington, Alicia Hoskin, Tara Vaughan, and Olivia Brett; their dedication embodies the spirit of our partnership and underscores our shared commitment to fostering sporting excellence and community engagement.”
