The path from inspiration to sale just got shorter, with Scroll Media offering new technology that allows direct purchasing from online ads, including videos.
Scroll has just launched Scroll Shoppable Media, powered by tech platform Vudoo, which can transform ads and content into shoppable store fronts.
“As a publisher audience network, one thing that we want to do is drive tangible business outcomes for our clients, not just vanity metrics such as clicks and likes,” Scroll Media Managing Director Jane Ormsby says.
“We have launched a shoppable media solution that means we can not only drive awareness at the top of the funnel, but we can drive sales and conversions for a client.”
This means for consumers they can shop wherever and whenever they feel inspired, rather than having to go through extra steps like visiting a brand’s store or website.
Ormsby says retailers were previously losing a lot of potential customers who would like an ad but would drop off before they got to the shopping cart.
“We are bringing the payment gateway into the ad. You can get someone at two o’clock in the morning who sees one of your amazing inspirational videos and they can just go, ‘I want that now’,” she says.
“Or they might just say ‘inquire now’ to talk to a car dealer or a travel agent. Then you’ve got that lead straight away.”
Recent campaigns with Vudoo have shown incredible results with shifts in purchase intent and a 36% increase in conversion.
Rip Curl used Vudoo to help showcase their swimwear range, which led to an 81% increase in user journey completion rate in Australia.
Ormsby says the main reason Scroll chose to work with Vudoo is it can make video shoppable, which she says is a game-changer in the online advertising space.
“I think in the past, video has really been seen as an awareness piece, but now we’re making it an e-commerce piece. It’s always been a good tool for building brand, but now we can use it as a performance tool, so it’s great. It closes the loop.”
“We are thrilled to partner with Scroll Media, the leading digital advertising network in Australia and New Zealand for premium publishers such as Vivendi’s Gameloft, The Roar and others,” says Vudoo CEO and founder Nick Morgan.
“This exciting collaboration will help advertisers and agencies achieve new ways to entice, engage and excite readers and consumers alike, whilst ensuring both consumption and conversion are frictionless.”
