AUCKLAND, Today: A sold sign may end the property search, but realestate.co.nz reckons that’s often where the more interesting story begins.
The property platform is celebrating its 30th anniversary with It all starts here, a new podcast asking well-known New Zealanders what began at home for them.
The first four episodes feature chef and restaurateur Josh Emett, nanotechnologist and science communicator Michelle Dickinson, broadcaster Dom Harvey and actor and auctioneer Shane Cortese.
“So much starts at home,” says Sarah Wood, CEO of realestate.co.nz. “From the business started in the spare room to the decision made at the kitchen table, every guest on this series has their own version of that moment.”
“This podcast is about what happens after the sold sign comes down, the boxes are unpacked, and the house becomes a home, and it has been a meaningful way to mark thirty years of helping New Zealanders find their perfect property.”
Wood shares hosting duties across the series with realestate.co.nz GM of Customer Vanessa Williams and GM of Sales Rishi Ankus. Further episodes will roll out over the coming weeks.

Brainchild Founder and Director Angela March said the idea grew from the memories people attach to the places where they live.
“Our homes hold some of our strongest memories, and that’s where this idea came from. We wanted to create something that felt like it had always belonged to realestate.co.nz, rather than bolted on for an anniversary.”
“As people increasingly use AI alongside traditional search, original, credible storytelling is what gets brands found and trusted.”
The series is available through Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iHeart and YouTube, with video and audio cutdowns appearing across realestate.co.nz’s social channels as each new episode arrives.
It all starts here is recorded and produced at PodLab, the Auckland studio co-founded by broadcasters Jay-Jay Feeney and Dom Harvey—who swaps sides of the microphone to appear as a guest.
