dish FAST is all about fabulous food created with maximum deliciousness and minimum fuss. And that’s been the approach taken by the ICG Media-owned title in marketing its new cookbook.
ICG Media has made use of LUMO’s extensive OOH network to strategically place digital billboards across Auckland for maximum impact. The sites stretch from Anzac Avenue in the city to the North Shore.
The new cookbook by Sarah Tuck (dish Editor) and Claire Aldous (dish Food Editor) is chock-full of quick and easy classics and up-to-the-minute recipes, specially developed to help Kiwis get food on the table in double-quick time. The collection of 100+ seasonal recipes offers a wealth of super-speedy, simple and delicious dishes.
All the recipes are quick to make, so they’re perfect for a weeknight or speedy lunch – nothing brightens up a hump-day Wednesday like Quick ‘Pizza’ Flatbreads with Salami, Jalapeño and Mozzarella or Sticky Stir-fried Beef with Greens and Noodles. But many of the dishes are still impressive enough to serve as dinner party fare, if you’re more interested in chatting to friends than faffing around in the kitchen – think Barbecued Leg of Lamb with Anchovy and Lemon Dressing or Baked Cajun Salmon.
“Its pretty bloody exciting that after 17 years dish has its first stand-alone cookbook going on sale, and then four weeks later its bumper 100th issue,” says Tuck.
She adds that the cookbook is for people who want to make great food, but who are time poor.
“For busy parents at home with the kids, or working parents who walk in the door just before dinner time, or people that want to entertain within the confines of their picnic bubble (in Auckland), or in small numbers and don’t want to spend ages faffing in the kitchen – this is the answer,” says Tuck.
In addition to the digital displays, Tuck will be be doing the rounds at various media outlets in the coming weeks to promote sales in the lead-up to Christmas. She says the book is the perfect gift for all home cooks.
dish FAST is on sale from October 19, and is available from Paper Plus, Whitcoulls, The Warehouse and most good bookstores.
