MediaWorks adds two new DOOH billboards to portfolio

Two new digital Out of Home sites for MediaWorks are set to go live ahead of the end of the year – one in Wellington and the other in Blenheim.

These new billboards will mean MediaWorks can now offer advertisers a high quality digital Out of Home portfolio of 86 large format sites across Aotearoa – the largest roadside digital network in the country.

The latest 9x3m site in the capital is located at the key intersection of Arthur Street and Taranaki Street and captures massive volumes of daily traffic flowing directly down Buckle Street (State Highway 1) from the Basin Reserve to the motorway and into the city.

Across the Cook Strait in Blenheim, the new 9x3m digital site is located in the heart of the town on Main Street (also State Highway 1) and captures traffic heading out of Blenheim.

MediaWorks Commercial Director Liz Fraser says the company has been focussed on expanding its digital Out of Home presence throughout the country this year, with the two new sites in Wellington and Blenheim taking the total number of new digital billboards for 2022 to 20.

“We’re super proud to have launched new digital Out of Home sites not just in our main centres but in many of our smaller cities and towns this year to align with our audio channels.

“It’s been a huge year for outdoor for MediaWorks and looking ahead to 2023, the focus will be on the main cities and to ensure advertisers have more flexibility and options when targeting CBDs and growing suburbs.”

Other new digital billboards this year include Greymouth, Gisborne, Timaru, two in Christchurch, five in Auckland and nine in Wellington.
