NZBusiness magazine launches ‘Sustainably Ever After’ podcast

NZBusiness magazine is excited to announce the launch of its new podcast, Sustainably Ever After.

Hosted by 14-year-old sustainability advocate Lilah McDonald and proudly sponsored by OfficeMax, the podcast has been created to inspire and inform New Zealand’s SME community about the intersection of sustainability and entrepreneurship.

“We are excited to bring this podcast to our audience with an inspired and important message,” says David Nothling-Demmer, Editor of NZBusiness magazine.

“Lilah’s unique perspective as a young entrepreneur, and passion for sustainability are a perfect fit for our mission to support and empower owners on their business journeys. ‘Sustainably Ever After’ will provide thought-provoking insights and hopefully inspire action by both aspiring and established businesses leaders.”

McDonald, who started her social enterprise Water Us at the age of 10 to combat plastic waste and improve access to clean drinking water, will be at the helm of the podcast.

“I’m really excited to launch ‘Sustainably Ever After’ and share my passion for sustainability with more people,” McDonald says.

“Through this podcast, I hope to connect with and learn from amazing social entrepreneurs, business leaders, and advocates who are leading the way in sustainability and creating a greener future. Whether you’re just starting out or hoping to improve your current efforts, there’s something for everyone.”

Each episode of ‘Sustainably Ever After’ will feature in-depth conversations with influential guests from across New Zealand who are leading the charge in sustainable business practices.

The podcast aims to offer actionable insights and real-world examples of how businesses can integrate sustainability into their core strategies.

OfficeMax Managing Director, Kevin Obern, says OfficeMax is excited to be supporting the new series and hopes that it sparks a passion for sustainability in others.

“It’s fantastic, and reassuring, to see that young people like Lilah care about the state of our planet and want to protect it for future generations. We think it’s a great initiative and we all look forward to tuning in,” says Obern.

The podcast will release new episodes every two weeks, providing listeners with regular doses of motivation and practical advice on how to make a difference in their business and beyond.

“We invite everyone to tune in and join us on this exciting adventure,” adds Nothling-Demmer. “It’s an opportunity to be inspired by the next generation of sustainability champions and to discover how we can all contribute to a more sustainable future.”

The first episode features Gaelle Thieme, Founder of Dust and Glow, followed by episodes featuring Mike King, David Rouse and many more.
