The expansion follows five consecutive years of growth across the region, supported by continued investment from T-Mobile. The company is deepening its focus on New Zealand to meet rising demand for programmatic OOH and to provide agencies and brands with enhanced demand-side expertise.

Well positioned for growth

Turney says: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Vistar Media, with programmatic OOH continuing to gain incredible traction.

“Having worked closely with Sandra [Scott] and the team as a supply partner, it’s clear how much opportunity lies ahead and how well positioned Vistar is to lead that growth.

“Bringing supply-side experience into the mix will help strengthen partnerships even further, and I’m excited to work alongside Sandra Scott and Jack Manning to drive the next wave of growth for Vistar and the wider OOH ecosystem,” he adds.

Maximise value

Bringing more than 14 years of experience across both agency and media-owner environments, Turney joins Vistar Media from his previous role as programmatic channel lead at oOh!media New Zealand.

In his new position, he will play a pivotal role in bringing Vistar’s market-leading technology and expertise to the forefront of every campaign.

Scott, who is director of sales and partnerships, New Zealand at Vistar Media, says: “It’s fantastic to welcome Josh to the Vistar team as we continue to invest and scale in New Zealand. His strong OOH background brings an extra layer of depth and perspective to our business, which will be invaluable as we continue to lead the growth of programmatic OOH. The category is expanding fast, but there’s still a huge opportunity to better support our partners and maximise the value they get from the channel.”
