Marc Lomas appointed to Head Commerce & Retail Media at GroupM

AUSTRALIA, Today: GroupM has just brought Marc Lomas on board as Managing Director to supercharge their Commerce and Retail Media operations in Australia and New Zealand. He’ll be working alongside the teams at EssenceMediacom, Mindshare, and Wavemaker.

With over 20 years in the biz, Lomas has a hefty resume, including a significant stint at Amazon Ads in both New York and Australia. Before Amazon, he was shaping the programmatic scene at IPG Mediabrands.

As retail media’s global market hits a whopping $ 120 billion, Australia’s own market is on track to approach $ 1 billion in 2024. GroupM is ramping up with strategy, activation, and tech tools that blend global scale with local smarts.

After consulting with GroupM to craft a cutting-edge approach, Lomas is stepping in full-time to meld Commerce and Retail Media into GroupM’s core offerings. They’re even adding new specialist roles under his leadership.
