Scope Media rebrands as Scope Communications

WĀNAKA, Today: The popular PR firm formerly known as Scope Media unveils its new identity—welcome Scope Communications! This rebrand reflects their expanding range of services.

This change comes as the Wānaka-based, award-winning consultancy marks 11 years of success this June. They revealed their fresh identity on Friday, April 26.

Celia Crosbie, managing director of Scope Communications, shared that swapping ‘Media’ for ‘Communications’ was a thoughtful decision, two years in the making. “As a team, we felt that ‘communications’ better reflected what we do. While our roots are proudly entrenched in journalism, our collective skillset spans across all methods of communication – including digital PR, marketing communications, stakeholder relations, crisis communications, media relations and paid digital advertising,” she explains.

The rebrand is more than just a name change. “Although it’s only a subtle change to our brand, it’s an important one for the evolution of the business. It also aligns with the current media landscape which – as we have seen over the last few weeks with significant closures in news media – is evolving rapidly.”

Crosbie adds, “The power of media and communication now exists within a range of integrated channels and it’s now more important than ever to specialise in all.”

Scope Communications has a diverse portfolio, serving clients across New Zealand in various sectors like adventure tourism, local government, and real estate. They’re experts in digital PR, crisis management, and creating special publications like Property Style.

The new logo, crafted by Britt Davies of Studio Waru, along with Abbie Barnes Design’s help on the rollout, symbolises their forward-thinking approach.

And there’s more good news—Scope Communications is a finalist at the PRINZ Awards, vying for Best Small to Medium PR Consultancy. The results will be revealed on May 29 in Auckland.

The team powering Scope Communications includes Celia Crosbie, Rebecca Williamson, Steph Johnstone, Monique Wijnen, and Aspen Bruce.
